Day 35: God's Power in Your Weakness

  • Point to Ponder: God works best when I admit my weakness.
  • Verse to Remember: My grace is sufficient for you, my power is made perfect in weakness. -2 Corinthians 12:9a (NIV)
  • Question to Consider: Am I limiting God's power in my life by trying to hide my weaknesses? What do I need to be honest about in order to help others?
Yes. I am liming God's power in my life by trying to compensate for my weaknesses.

One such weakness is my ability to quickly make a mountain out of a mole hill (Dang it, there's the cliche committee again).

One stressor starts making me stress about something else, which makes me worry about something else. Pretty soon, I'm stressing about stress.

Someone much better at handling stress once sat me down and talked me through what I was worrying about. It turned out, that there was nothing to actually stress about, and I was stressing about nothing.

I don't really understand the second part of this question, but if I am honest about my weakness to try to take on too much stuff, maybe I can help others avoid trying to make that same mistake.
